As we start the new year, a few things to keep in mind –

BEWARE – ? “illegal aliens” are being placed under immigration detainers for very small crimes such as DWIs.

Immigration judges are not forgiving and are very jaded because their dockets are overflowing with detainees. It is important, therefore, to have a strong criminal lawyer like Bill Knox (Criminal Lawyer)- and a strong immigration lawyer like Victoria Quiñones Barr working together on the same case to get the best result.

If you are detained REMEMBER: (1) ICE officers are not your friends, not when you are in or out of detention, (2) when your attorney advises you to ASSERT your right, do so! DO NOT be intimidated by aggressive and loud ICE officers.
